Bill Peard’s strong leadership has been acknowledged again with The Des Moines Register’s endorsement of his candidacy.  The endorsement states, “As mayor, he has helped the city strike a balance between attracting new commercial and residential development and preserving the qualities that have fueled growth.  Under Peard's watch as mayor, the council approved a new comprehensive plan - a blueprint for the city's growth. … Peard deserves a third term to work to meet those challenges.”
