I was honored to be invited to Waukee High School's Candidate Forum, sponsored by WHS, Ben Twigg, and Scott Blum. The event featured all city council candidates and mayoral candidates answering questions submitted by WHS students.

Among the great inquiries were "What will it take for Waukee to stay competitive?" and "What will you do to keep students coming back to the community."

In response to "What is the greatest challenge Waukee will face," I responded the rapid growth, which will be challenging in some ways, and most of all bring many opportunities to the city.

It is great to see our students so interested and involved, not to mention eager to learn the processes of local government. Thanks again you guys and keep it up!
